NEUKAPOLS based on renewable raw materials stand out for their high hydrophobicity compared to conventional polyols (on a petrochemical basis).
In the polyurethane industry, NEUKAPOLS are preferably used in cases where their extraordinarily high hydrophobicity shows clear advantages, as for example for the coating of industrial floors.
To achieve a particularly good compatibility between the 2-component floor coating system and the dye paste, it is advantageous to produce the dye paste, too, on the basis of the polyol used.
Just for those polyurethane systems having high
hydroxyl numbers, it has proved to be extraordinarily
favourable to use the corresponding polyols in the
dye paste formulation as so the mixing ratio is not
changed significantly.
Therefore, NEUKAPOLS find also a use as binder
for 2-component polyurethane dye pastes.
